Raising concern as unruly youths exhibit anti-social behaviour in Burry Port

There has been increase of calls of anti-social behaviour in the Station Road and New Street areas of Burry Port, with large quantities of youths gathering in groups outside local premises which is becoming increasingly intimidating for members of the public. Youths have also been riding their bikes in an anti-social manner on the main road with no regard for road users, pedestrians or themselves.
The Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team in Burry Port are aware of concerns within the community regarding this as it is having a detrimental effect on local business and residents.
While we understand young people want to enjoy their easter holidays, we urge parents to be aware of where their children are and what they are doing.
We will regularly patrol the area and engage with business and members of the community to identify and engage effectively with those involved to prevent further escalation or repeat incidents.
Anyone identified as being involved in this behaviour will be issued with an anti-social behaviour warning letters, which can be addressed to their parent/ guardian, with further action taken for any repeat offenders.
We will continue to take action to reduce anti-social behaviour in the Burry Port area and we would urge anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour to report it to us https://orlo.uk/Rc9OM
