Funding available for Community Projects through Police and Crime Commissioner’s Community Fund

THE Police and Crime Commissioner for Dyfed-Powys, Dafydd Llywelyn, has today launched a funding programme where grants of between £5,000 and £10,000 will be made available to groups and organisations across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.

Dafydd Llywelyn is inviting applications from voluntary and community organisations, as well as the public and private sectors, for projects which will have a positive impact on the security and safety of local communities.

We would also encourage organisations to work collaboratively. Successful projects must reflect the Commissioner’s key priorities for the communities of Dyfed-Powys: Keeping our communities safe, safeguarding the vulnerable, protecting our communities from serious threats, and connecting with communities. Further detail on each priority is available within the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan. Mr Llywelyn said:

“Through the previous funding round, a number of diverse projects were supported, which really have made a difference to people’s lives. I am therefore very pleased to once again be able to offer this exciting funding opportunity. I look forward to reading the new applications and finding out what difference this funding could make within our communities.”

The closing date for applications is 24th May 2019. You can access the funding guidelines and application forms on the Commissioner’s Website at http://www.dyfedpowyspcc.org.uk/en/the-commissioner/the-police-and-crime-plan/, or by contacting the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner on 01267 226440 / opcc@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk.
