Aimed at supporting Carmarthenshire residents of all ages, the Living Well Events allow people to engage with a range of services that will promote preventative lifestyle activities, wellbeing and understanding of the support available to stay well, self-care and remain well at home.
The all-age events will have attendance from a range of services from across the County Council, Health Board and the third sector that promote prevention and wellbeing in the community. Information, activities, and taster sessions will be on hand for residents, allowing them to engage with representatives from various organisations about what you can do to live well.
The types of activities that will be available include play activities, Actif Leisure taster sessions, relaxation sessions, arts & crafts and more.
Refreshments will also be available.
The following dates and locations have been confirmed for the Living Well in Carmarthenshire events:
Newcastle Emlyn Leisure Centre – 16 August 10am – 2pm
Tumble Hall, Tumble – 18 September 10am – 2pm
Whitland Memorial Hall – 23 October 10am – 2pm
Princess Gwenllian Centre, Kidwelly – 29 November 10am – 2pm
Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Social Services, Cllr Jane Tremlett said: “Enabling our residents to live and age well is a well-being objective for the County Council and an ambition that requires us to work across many fields with various partners to achieve.
“I would encourage people of all ages to grasp this opportunity to come and join us at these Living Well events to learn about what is available in your local area to support people of all ages to live well.”
The Living Well in Carmarthenshire events are linked to the Living Well in Carmarthenshire Strategy consultation and will allow the public the opportunity to share what living well means to them.
