Caerphilly man jailed for offences under the Firearms Act

Spencer TSE, a 25-year-old man from Edgeware, London, who previously resided in the Machen area of Caerphilly, today, May 2, appeared at Newport Magistrates Court, where he was handed a 15 month sentence following an investigation led by Counter Terrorism Policing Wales.

Spencer pleaded guilty to two offences under the Firearms Act and two offences relating to possession of extreme pornography.

Detective Chief Inspector Leanne Williams, from Counter Terrorism Policing Wales, said:

‘We welcome the outcome that was handed down at court today.  The sentence follows a lengthy and complex investigation into the production of homemade firearms and possession of ammunition.

We continue to work closely with partner agencies and police forces across Wales to supress the availability of illegal firearms. The removal and seizure of these items helps to make our communities a safer place to be.

The support from the public in reporting any information about 3D printed weapons is vital. We’d encourage people to report concerns to us via gov.uk/ACT.”
