A Cardiff drug dealer behind the ‘SPICE’ drug line which supplied heroin and crack cocaine has been jailed.
Hassan Hassan, 20, of Adamsdown, was identified as the sole holder of the drugs line which supplied its customers Class A drugs by Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Unit.
Hassan was arrested by Metropolitan Police officers in London on July 17. He tried to hand the mobile phone at the centre of police investigation to somebody as officers approached him.
A data-based forensic examination of his phone by South Wales Police linked him directly to the drugs line. Officers were able to show that he sent bulk text messages offering crack cocaine and heroin to a hundred of people at a time.
Hassan was charged and went on to plead guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin on August 16.
Earlier today (Wednesday, September 18) he was jailed for 41 months at Cardiff Crown Court.
Hassan was one of 25 people arrested throughout July (2024) by the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Team. During the month-long crackdown, a quarter of a kilogram of crack cocaine and £17,000 in cash was seized. A Total of 21 drugs lines were also put out of business.
