Daniel, 30, died in a property on Princess Street, Treforest, on the evening of Sunday December 17.
Following an investigation led by the South Wales Police Major Crime Investigation Team, Kieran Ashton Carter, 22, from Birmingham has been found guilty of murder.
Amy Jones, 37, from Derwendeg Avenue, Glyncoch, Pontypridd, and Chad Joy, 33, from Garth Avenue, Glyncoch, Pontypridd, have both been found guilty of perverting the course of justice.
Detective Superintendent Paul Raikes said: “Just after 7.50pm on Sunday December 17 we received a report from the Welsh Ambulance Service that Daniel was not breathing at an address in Princess Street, Treforest. He had sustained several stab wounds to his thigh which proved fatal.
“This led to a challenging and complicated investigation involving specialist resources from across the force, in order to identify, apprehend and prosecute all those connected with the death of Daniel Rae.
“These convictions show those intent on committing crime that no matter how many steps you take to frustrate an investigation, we will not give up.
“I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Daniel Rae and thank them for their understanding and support during the course of the investigation”.
Sentencing is due to take place on Thursday September 26.
