The following people appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on the 10th of January 2023

21-year-old Thomas Bailey of Waterloo Road, Hakin

The court heard that on 19/06/2022 at Pembrokeshire Bailey used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely the B4239 Prendegast, Haverfordwest, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.

Bailey was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 6 points.

30-year-old James Frederick Barratt of Flat Adrift Gallery, Borth

The court heard that on 18/06/2022 at Ceredigion Barratt drove a motor vehicle, on a road namely the B4353, Borth Ceredigion, whilst not wearing an adult belt in conformity with regulation 5(1)(a) of the Motor Vehicles (Wearing of seat belts) Regulations 1993. Contrary to section 14(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure

Barratt was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £88.00 and costs of £90.00.

28-year-old Sean Booth of St Issels Avenue, Haverfordwest

The court heard that on 08/06/2022 at Pembrokeshire Booth drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely the Old Hakin Road, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising him to drive a motor vehicle of that class. Contrary to section 87(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
The case was proved Single Justice Procedure.

Booth was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00.

49-year-old Joanna CAMBRIDGE of Maesyffynnon, Pembrokeshire

The court heard that on 24/06/2022 at Pembrokeshire Cambridge used on a road, namely A487 Dinas Cross, Newport, Pembrokeshire a motor vehicle,to which section 47 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 applied and as respects which no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period Contrary to section 47(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. Cambridge was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £88.00 and costs of £90.00.

37-year-old Jason Ross Clark of Wike Gate Road, Doncaster

The court heard that on 25/06/2022 at Ceredigion Clark drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A487 Antaron Avenue, Aberystwyth, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.

Clark was fined £305.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £122.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 3 points.

39-year-old Oliver Cogan of Gosport Street, Laugharne

The court heard that on 22/06/2022 at Carmarthenshire Cogan drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely A40 Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, when he was using a hand-held mobile telephone Contrary to regulation 110(1) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 41D of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Cogan was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £88.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 3 points.

76-year-old Paul Jeffrey W Davies of LlygaidYMor, Haverfordwest

The court heard that on 22/06/2022 at Pembrokeshire Dvies used on a road, namely Old Hakin Road, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, a motor vehicle, drawing a trailer to which regulation 15 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 applied, when not fitted with a device designed to stop the trailer automatically in the event of the separation of the main coupling between the vehicle and trailer whilst the trailer was in motion Contrary to regulation 86A(1) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure

Davies was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £88.00 and costs of £90.00.

20-year-old Molly Beth Di Salvo of Maes Y Ddraig, Carmarthen

The court heard that on 19/06/2022 at Carmarthenshire Di Salvo used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely Brynmor Road, Burry Port, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Di Salvo was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00. He driving record endorsed with 6 points.

30-year-old Kacper Dudzinski of Bryn Uchaf, Llanelli

The court heard that on 25/06/2022 at Carmarthenshire Dudzinski used on a road, namely Erwlas, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, a motor vehicle, when the front offside wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed Contrary to regulation 27(1)(e)) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use)Regulations 1986, section 41A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Dudzinski was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £176.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 3 points.

57-year-old Philip Eade of Maesglas, Pontyates

The court heard that on 24/06/2022 at Carmarthenshire Eade drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely Fours Roads, Kidwelly, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved usaing a Single Justice Procedure

Eade was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £176.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 4 points.

34-year-old Amanda Jayne Elias of Ger y Capel, Ponthenri

The court heard that on 27/06/2022 at Carmarthenshire Elias drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely Four Roads, Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour
Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure – 10/01/2023

Elias was fined £143.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £57.00 and costs of £90.00. Her driving record endorsed with 4 points.

Christopher Charles Fisher of Pen y Cledrau, Henllan

The court heard that on 05/06/2022 at Powys Fisher drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely Pool Rd, Newtown Powys, otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising you to drive a motor vehicle of that class. Contrary to section 87(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the
Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Terence Wayne Hendra of Village Gardens, Aberavon

The court heard that on 24/06/2022 at Carmarthenshire Hendra drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely Four Roads, Kidwelly, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour
Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

30-year-old Sam James of Bridge Street, Aberystwyth

The court heard that on 22/06/2022 at Ceredigion James drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely Castle Street, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising you to drive a motor vehicle of that class. Contrary to section 87(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The court also heard that on 22/06/2022 at Ceredigion James used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely Castle Street, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

James was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 6 points.

49-year-old Levi Mark Jeremiah of Golwg y Castell, Cardigan

The court heard that on 27/07/2022 at Safety Camera Unit, Pontypridd, having been required
by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, Jeremiah failed to give
information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the
Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Jeremiah was fined £660.00. and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 6 points.

32-year-old Jamie Lee Thomas Jones of Lon Patyllyn, Newtown.

The court heard that on 22/06/2022 at Powys Jones drove a vehicle, on a road, namely Lon Maesycoed, Newtown, Powys, when the registration mark required to be fixed on the front and rear of the vehicle failed to comply with the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001 in that the number plates did not display a BS marking and the spacing of the letters and numbers did not conform to the correct standard Contrary to section 59(1) of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994.

Jones was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £88.00 and costs of £90.00.

36-year-old Kristian Jones of Graig Road, Gwaun Cae Gurwen

The court heard that on 22/06/2022 at Carmarthenshire Jones drove a motor vehicle, on a road namely Nantgaredig, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, whilst not wearing an adult belt in conformity with regulation 5(1)(a) of the Motor Vehicles (Wearing of seat belts) Regulations 1993.

38-year-old Gareth John Locke of Skokholm Cottage, St Ishmaels

The court heard that on 12/08/2022 at Safety Camera Unit, Pontypridd, having been required
by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, Locke failed to give
information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, namely Peugeot Partner MP19KWN, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Locke was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £256.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 6 points.

36-year-old Mark Anthony Love of Church View, Ebbw Vale

The court heard that on 17/06/2022 at Powys Love used on a road, namely the B4560 Llangynidr Rd, Powys, a motor vehicle, the manner in which the load was secured, namely the ladder attached to the roff of the defendants vehicle had fallen off and onto the road and, was such that its use
involved a danger of injury to any person Contrary to section 40A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Love was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £88.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 3 points.

55-year-old David Thomas Morgan of Glyn Road, Lower Brynamman

On 21/06/2022 at Carmarthenshire Morgan drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely A474 Pontamman Road, Pontamman, Carmarthenshire , at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 41 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Morgan was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £176.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 4 points.
