The following appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Friday (Jul 22):

29-year-old Bianca Josephine Davies, Fern Hill Road Pembrokeshire

At 14:50 hours on 31/01/2022 Davies drove a motor vehicle, on the A40 near junction to Llanllwch at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 50 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 58 miles per hour.

The Offence was withdrawn.

On 20/06/2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Davies was Fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

38-year-old Mr Daniel Davies of Lon Cwm Powys

On 10/05/2022 at Builth Wells, being a person in charge of a motor vehicle, caused it to stand on
a road, namely Access only road Groe street, Builth Wells . Powys, so as to cause an unnecessary obstruction of the road Contrary to regulation 103 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The Offence was withdrawn.

On 10/05/2022 at Carmarthen, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Davies was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

26-year-old Chloe Paige Follows of Tir Einon Llanelli

On 24/01/2022 at Carmarthenshire drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely Pendderi Road Bryn, Llanelli, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 14:32 hours on 24/01/2022 Follows drove on Pendderi Road Bryn, Llanelli at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 35 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Follows was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

42-year-old Mr Lee Jenkins of Ger y Efail, Newcastle Emlyn

On 04/02/2022 at A484 Cardigan Road, Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A484 Cardigan Road, Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

At 09:02 hours on 04/02/2022 the defendant drove on the A484 Cardigan Road, Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of laser was 37 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals. The Offence was withdrawn.

On 28/03/2022 at Safety Camera Unit, Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Jenkins was Fined £660 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

20-year-old Sam Khalil of Oystermouth Road

On 20/02/2022 at Powys used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely A470 Brecon, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 01:40 hours on 20/02/2022 the defendant used a vehicle, on the A470 Brecon when there was no insurance in force covering that use of the vehicle.

Khalil was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

35-year-old Mr Dean Clive Morris of Lluest ,Ystradgynlais

On 26/02/2022 at Powys drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely Wind Road, Ystradgynlais, Powys, when he was using a hand-held mobile telephone Contrary to regulation 110(1) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 41D of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 09:41 hours on 26/02/2022 Morris drove on Wind Road, Ystradgynlais, Powys when he was at the time using a hand-held mobile telephone.

Morris was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

36-year-old Mr Daniel Richards of Station Road Newcastle Emlyn

On 20/02/2022 at Ceredigion used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely the A484 Llechryd, Cardigan, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 14:21 hours on 20/02/2022 Richards used a vehicle, on the A484 Llechryd, Cardigan when there was no insurance in force covering that use of the vehicle.

Richards was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

28-year-old Stephaine Lucinda Richards of Glyncoed Terrace

On 26/01/2022 at Carmarthenshire drove a motor vehicle on a road, namely Cilsaig Road/Dafen Road, Llanelli North, at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in contravention of a Local traffic Order, namely The County of Carmarthenshire (North Llanelli) (Imposition of 20mph speed limit) Order 2021, Contrary to the above Local Traffic Order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 14:23 hours on 26/01/2022 Richards drove on Cilsaig Road/Dafen Road, Llanelli North at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 20 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 27
miles per hour.

Richards was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

41-year-old Mr Daniel Sheil of Walkers Lodge, Hasguard Cross, Broad Haven

On 18/02/2022 at Pembrokeshire used on a road, namely Thomas Parry Way, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, a motor vehicle, when the front offside tyre wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed Contrary to regulation 27(1)(e)) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 41A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 10:01 hours on 18/02/2022 the defendant used a motor vehicle on Thomas Parry Way, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire when the front offside tyre of the vehicle was fitted with a tyre which had the ply or cord exposed

Sheil was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

39-year-old Mr David Lee Thomas of Old Coronation School, Meyrick Street, Pembroke Dock

On 28/01/2022 at Pembrokeshire used on a road, namely A477 Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire a motor vehicle, to which section 47 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 applied and as respects which no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period Contrary to section 47(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 11:07 hours on 28/01/2022 the defendant used a motor vehicle, on the A477 Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire when there was no test certificate in force for the vehicle.

Thomas was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and to pay costs of £90.00.

57-year-old Robert Gwynfor Thomas of Pontypentre, Llansantffraid, Powys

On 28/01/2022 at Powys drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely B4393 Coedway, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 11:33 hours on 28/01/2022 the Thomas drove on the B4393 Coedway at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of Manned was 35 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Thomas was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

24-year-old Mr Tyler Wherrett of Advent House, Isaac Way, Manchester

On 04/02/2022 at A487 Blaenplwyf, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely A487 Blaenplwyf, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, subject of a local traffic order, namely The Trunk Road (Blaenplwyf, Dyfed) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 1982, at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour. Contrary to the above local traffic order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 17:55 hours on 04/02/2022 Wherrett drove on the A487 Blaenplwyf, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion subject of a local traffic order, namely The Trunk Road (Blaenplwyf, Dyfed) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 1982, at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 40 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 48 miles per hour. The Offence was withdrawn.

On 14/03/2022 at Safety Camera Unit, Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Wherrett was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His Driving record was endorsed with 6 points.
