The following people appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on September 21st 2022.

24-year-old Miss Georgia Simpson of no fixed abode.

The court heard that 02/09/2022 at Yssbyty Ystwyth Simpson assaulted PC 179 Herron an
emergency worker, acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him
Contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and section 1 of the Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences) Act 2018.

Simpson was found guilty and made subject of a community order made. Simpson was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £114, and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

64-year-old Mr David Ian Elias of Talbot Road, Ammanford

The court hear an application to reopen a case following conviction for an offence of failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

The case was reopened and the conviction and sentence imposed on 04/05/2022 set aside and the licence endorsement is to be removed

The court heard that on 30/09/2021 at Carmarthenshire Elias drove a motor vehicle on a road, namely Ysgol Gynradd, Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in contravention of a Local traffic Order, namely Local traffic Order, namely The county of Carmarthenshire (Cefneithin and Cross Hands) (Imposition of 20 mph speed limit) order 2009. Contrary to the above Local Traffic Order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of laser was 27 miles per hour.

Elias pleaded guilty and was fined £100 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34. His driving record endorsed with 3 points.

24-year-old Jordan Marshall of Penyfan Road, Llanelli

The court heard that on the 16/09/2022 at Llanelli, Marshall assaulted his victim by beating her. Contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.

Marshall changed his plea from a previous plea of not guilty to guilty.

Marshall was committed to prison for 18 weeks. Marshall was also made subject of a restraining order. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £154.00.

44-year-old Mr Castiel Barzini of Kent Road, Reading

The court heard that on 18/03/2022 at Carmarthenshire Barzini drove a motor vehicle, on a dual carriageway road, namely A48 Pensarn, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 70 miles per hour Contrary to article 2(c) of the 70 Miles Per Hour, 60 Miles Per Hour and 50 Miles Per Hour (Temporary Speed Limit) Order 1977, section 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 80 mph.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure. Barzini was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

48-year-old Mr Marian Krsystof Cwikalowski of Meadow House, Upper Spon Street, Coventry

The court heard that on 17/03/2022 at Powys Cwikalowski drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A489 Kerry, Newtown, Powys, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals. The offence was withdrawn.

Further the court heard that on 03/06/2022 at Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved by a Single Justice Procedure and Cwikalowski was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

61-year-oldMr Gary Davies of Thistledome, High Street, Weston Rhyn

The court heard that on 18/03/2022 at Powys Davies drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the B4396 Penybont Llanerch Emrys, Powys, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 44 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure Davies was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44.00 and costs of £90.00. His Driving record was endorsed with 4 points.

50-year-old Mr Jason Carl France of Ramsay Drive, Swansea

The court heard that on 17/03/2022 at Carmarthenshire France drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A483 Talardd Villas, Ffairfach, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 40 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals. The offence was withdrawn.

Further the court heard that on 20/05/2022 at Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, fFrance ailed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Miss Genevieve Haines of Half Acre Court, Caerphilly

Mr James William Jones of Kingsmoor Common, Begelly

The court heard that on 19/03/2022 at Carmarthenshire Williams drove a motor vehicle, on a single carriageway road, namely the A477 Llanddowror to Red Roses Bypass, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 60 miles per hour Contrary to article 3b of the 70 Miles Per Hour, 60 Miles Per Hour and 50 Miles Per Hour (Temporary Speed Limit) Order 1977, section 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. 58-year-old Miss Elisabeth Jayne Morrisof Maes Ty Canol, Baglan

32-year-old Mr Michael Obrien of The Bungalow, Sandy Bridge, Llanelli

The court heard that on 18/03/2022 at Carmarthenshire Obrien drove a motor vehicle, on a road namely Trostre Roundabout . A484, Llanelli Carmarthenshire, whilst not wearing an adult belt in conformity with regulation 5(1)(a) of the Motor Vehicles (Wearing of seat belts) Regulations 1993. Contrary to section 14(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

29-year-old Mr Jorden Toomey of Alma Street, Twynyrodyn, Merthyr Tydfil

66-year-old Mr Glyn Owen Williams of Richmond Terrace

The court heard that on 19/03/2022 at Carmarthenshire used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely a4242 Morfa Lane, Carmarthen, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
