The following appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on September 2nd 2022

24-year-old Mr Lyndon Gwyn Davies of Maes Yr Glas Llandovery

The court heard that on 05/03/2022 at Carmarthenshire Davies used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely Tesco Car Park, Carmarthen, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Davies was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving was record endorsed with 6 points.

28-year-old Mr Robert Davies of Maesglas Llandovery

The court heard that on 05/03/2022 at Carmarthenshire Davies permitted Lyndon Davies to use a motor on a road, or other public place namely Tesco carpark, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988. Contrary to section 143(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Davies was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

77-year-old Mr Harold Morley of Glandyfi, Ffridd Gate, Machynlleth

The court heard that on 06/03/2022 at Powys Morley used on a road, namely the B4404 Cemmaes Road, Machynlleth Powys a motor vehicle, to which section 47 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 applied and as respects which no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period
Contrary to section 47(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Morley was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00.

28-year-old Mr Daron Thomas Page of Erw Aur St Clears

The court heard that on 05/03/2022 at Powys Page drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A483 Llanwrtyd Wells,Powys, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Page was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 4 points.
