Storm Eunice arrived in Ceredigion in the early hours of this morning, Friday (Feb 18.) Residents had been warned to stay indoors and the First Minister issued a statement on Thursday asking people to stay safe. Schools were closed as a precaution across the county and transport services were disrupted. Some road closures are in place across the county as the winds continue to batter the coast.

In Aberystwyth the main road along the promenade was closed with just a handful of photographers out trying to get a winning shot of the waves. Aberystwyth has been hit hard in recent months with storms causing damage to the promenade. Property owners have placed sandbags in doorways as a precaution. People will be hoping that Storm Eunice will pass by quickly without leaving so much damage in her wake.
