Town Council Supports Community Christmas Trees

Llanelli Town Council has again supported the provision of Christmas Trees and lights across Llanelli this year.
Christmas Trees and Christmas lights have been placed at:
• The Old Vicarage, Town Hall Square;
• Firth Road roundabout and Heol Dderwen in Penyfan with the support of PLTRA;
• The Rose Garden at Stradey Park Avenue, with the Rose Garden Group and the kind support of Mr and Mrs Towner;
• Llanerch Community Centre, Heol Nant y Felin;
• Havelock Park, Havelock Street with the support of the Morfa Residents Group.
Town Mayor, Cllr Philip Warlow and Town Council Leader Cllr David Darkin visited each location with local Town Councillors to see the lights being illuminated.
Town Mayor, Cllr Warlow said ‘I was delighted that the Town Council will again be able to support the provision of these festive decorations this year. It was lovely to be able to visit the Christmas lights and trees that will provide some festive cheer during the run up to Christmas. I would especially like to thank the children of Cylch Meithrin Llanerch for the wonderful songs they sang when we visited the tree at the Community Centre’.
Council Leader, Cllr David Darkin said ‘Llanelli Town Council is proud once again this year, to be able to fund the Christmas Lights at a number of locations across the Town and to work closely with a number of Community Organisations on these arrangements that I know are appreciated by residents’.
