Winners of Christmas window display announced

Congratulations to Anyone Waiting Cafe for winning the public vote in the best Christmas window display in the Llanelli Chamber of Trade Christmas competition.

Paul Francis of Anyone Waiting Cafe, said
“We are delighted to have won the award this year – all our venues during the covid lock down decided to get 35 foot plus trees – to brighten up the town – staff make a good effort during Nov to get them just right – making guests visits , just right. Sit back , relax and enjoy the festive feel. Engaging with the community is what we are about – and already have a great idea for next year’s display”.

Paul nominated “Tyisha Foodbank as the charity to benefit from the Llanelli Chamber of Trade donation of £50 on their behalf.

Nia Griffith MP, President of Tyisha Foodbank said, ‘many thanks to Paul and the staff at the AnyOneWaiting Cafe in the St Elli Centre for doing such a tremendous job, their Christmas decorations were fantastic and they deserved to win. We at Tyisha Foodbank are honoured and grateful that they nominated us to receive the cheque, which will go towards feeding needy families in Llanelli, thank you from all of us’

The winner of the £50 Wiko vouchers is Sue Evans for voting for the wining business.

The presentation took place outside the Anyone Waiting Cafe in the St Elli Shopping Centre with Andrew Stephens Immediate Past President and event organiser of Llanelli Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

Andrew said, Once again a tremendous effort was put in with so many Llanelli Town Centre and Retail parks businesses. In what has been a very difficult time for all retailers.
