Please see the following release for your consideration in relation to a report of harassment that occurred on the number 124 and 129 buses travelling between Carmarthen and Upper Brynamman on Wednesday, February 26.

Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to a report of harassment that occurred on the number 124 and 129 buses travelling between Carmarthen and Upper Brynamman during the early evening on Wednesday, February 26.

Part of the incident is also believed to have occurred at Ammanford bus station. It’s believed that members of the public became involved after seeing an older man harassing a young woman.

The man is described as a black male, around 5ft 11 – 6ft, and was wearing a black jacket with a hood, a black t-shirt and blue denim jeans with a belt, with orange underwear showing.

Enquiries have led to the arrest of a 50-year-old man who has been bailed.

Officers would like to speak to anybody who may have seen anything that would help with their investigation.

In particular, they would like to speak to a woman who got onto the 129 bus outside Barnardo’s, Ammanford, as well as two young men and a couple with a baby who were at Ammanford bus station and all assisted the victim.
