HM Coastguard attended an incident at Broughton Bay close to the Blue Pool today, Tuesday Oct 27.
It is understood that a woman injured her ankle whilst climbing down some rocks near the famous Blue Pool on the Gower beach.
A Sea King helicopter was sent to the scene where it was met by land based coastguards who attended to the injured woman.
A small crowd of onlookers gathered around as the dramatic event unfolded between approximately 1 to 1:30pm.
The woman was transferred to an ambulance in order to be taken to hospital.
