The potential Parliamentary Candidate for the Llanelli seat has warned of ‘Climate Scam Madness’ as plans to scrap jobs in the steel industry are announced.
Stan Robinson who is also a presenter for Voice of Wales said: ‘The chickens are truly coming home to roost as we see up to 3000 – 4000 direct jobs and 6000-8000 indirect jobs scrapped on the High Alter of Net Zero.
“Labour, Plaid, Conservatives and the Lib Dems rush to Carbon ZERO madness has helped bring about the wholesale abandonment of high-quality steel and Tim manufacture in Wales, and for what? So the Chinese and Indians can carry on building coal-powered power stations and high-quality steel & Tin manufacturing. The whole scheme is sheer madness.”
Mr Robinson said “It is my understanding that Tata works in Wales at Trostre in Llanelli, Llanwern in Newport, Catnic in Caerphilly, Shotton in Deeside and the largest part of its workforce at Port Talbot will be affected. Even if Wales achieved ‘NET ZERO’ Tomorrow, this would make no difference globally. We will be losing highly skilled and high-paid jobs and the blame lies squarely with the Senedd and Westminster.
“Whilst Drakeford rides around in his diesel Volvo chauffeur-driven limousine. We are being forced literally off the roads because of this climate scam madness”.
