A man has been charged with murder following the death of Sophie Evans in Llanelli.

Police were called to an address in Bigyn Road on Friday, July 5, where 30-year-old Sophie was sadly found to have died.

A murder enquiry was launched, with Richard Jones, of Y Rhodfa in Burry Port, arrested later that day.

Officers have today charged the 49-year-old, who was known to Sophie, with her murder.

Jones has been remanded into custody and will appear at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday, July 12).
