Family pay Tribute to Hefin David MS

The family of Hefin David, the late Member of the Senedd (MS) for Caerphilly who passed away suddenly earlier this month, has issued the following statement. The statement expresses their gratitude for the outpouring of support from the public and pays tribute to Hefin’s life, both as a respected public servant and a devoted family man.

Family Statement:

“It is clear from the very many messages we have received that Hefin was widely respected and held in genuine affection by the community he represented, and by those he worked with during his many years of public service. But more than this, Hefin was a devoted father who was adored by his daughters Caitlin and Holly, a much loved son to Wynne and Christine, a beloved brother to Siân, a brilliant uncle to Osian and Catrin, and a soulmate to his cherished partner Vikki. We are very grateful to all those who have reached out to us since Hefin’s passing, and ask now for privacy to grieve.”

Hefin David was not only a dedicated public servant but also a familiar and friendly face in the Caerphilly community he loved. As a Member of the Senedd since 2016, he worked tirelessly to improve lives and give a voice to those who needed it most. Known for his warmth, humour, and genuine care for people, Hefin leaves behind a legacy of compassion and service that touched countless lives.
