Llanelli Businesses invited to take part in Annual Christmas Window Competition

The festive season is nearly here, and Llanelli is ready to shine. The Llanelli Chamber of Trade and Commerce is once again inviting local businesses to take part in its beloved Annual Christmas Window Competition, encouraging traders to dress their shopfronts in festive style and help bring seasonal cheer to the town centre.

Each year, the competition transforms Llanelli into a magical destination, with creative and colourful displays that delight shoppers and visitors alike. The event always attracts huge interest on social media, with residents sharing their favourite windows and celebrating the town’s festive spirit.

There is no need to formally enter. Businesses simply need to decorate their windows by the end of November, and Chamber judges will be out in early December to admire the displays and select the winners.

David Timbrell-Hill, President of the Llanelli Chamber of Trade and Commerce, said:

“This competition is a fantastic way to showcase the creativity and community spirit of Llanelli’s businesses. It brings joy to the town and helps make the shopping experience extra special during the festive season.”

Andrew Stephens, former Chamber President and long-time organiser of the event, added:

“It’s amazing to see how the town comes alive at Christmas. The effort businesses put into their windows really lifts the atmosphere and gives people another reason to shop local and support Llanelli.”

So whether you’re a shop, café, salon or office, get decorating, get festive and help make Llanelli sparkle this Christmas.
