Today’s police activity on Station Road, Llanelli, was part of a pre-planned operation, and not in response to any ongoing emergency incident in the area.
As a result of the operation, the following arrests have been made:
• One man, aged 37, and two women, aged 21 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
• A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
Temporary Detective Superintendent Rhys Jones said: “I understand that police activity of this nature can be unsettling for members of the community, and I want to reiterate that this was an organised activity, and not because of any ongoing threat to the public.
“I’d like to thank the members of the public who co-operated with our officers during today’s operation, and the wider community for their patience while we carried out these enquiries.”
