Staff and pupils from Tycroes Primary School stepped up to support children and young people living with diabetes by raising an incredible £1,143 for Hywel Dda University Health Board’s Paediatric Diabetes Service.
Carly Price, a member of staff at the school, organised a sponsored Step-a-Thon during diabetes week in June to give back to the service that has helped her two children, Jenson and Aria, who were both diagnosed with diabetes within just a month of each other.
The challenge encouraged pupils and staff to get moving while raising awareness of diabetes and funds for the Paediatric Diabetes Service who help support children and young people living with diabetes across Hywel Dda.
