Officers are appealing for information following the sudden death of a 60-year-old woman.
Dyfed-Powys Police was called around 7.10pm yesterday (Friday, August 14) by the Welsh Ambulance Service following the death of a 60 year-old woman at a property in Llandeilo Road, Cross Hands.
An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances of her death, which is currently being treated as suspicious.
One man, aged 63 was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been bailed.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Thomas said:
“First and foremost, my thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time.
“Officers have been present conducting investigation enquiries in the area and understandably I recognise this may have caused concern within community.
“This is an isolated incident, with no wider concern for the safety of the public. The local community will continue to see an increased officer presence whilst are our investigation is underway.
“Anyone with any information that could assist detectives with their investigation are asked to get in touch”
