YOUR NEWS LIVE PILOT
Your message has been sent
Your News Live is a new pilot feature from Carmarthenshire News Online designed to make it easier for local people to share what is happening in their communities and help shape local news coverage.
Across Carmarthenshire, important stories often go unreported. These can include council meetings, court cases, road closures, accidents, community events, local campaigns, business openings, and everyday developments that matter to residents. Your News Live is a way for those stories to reach our newsroom directly.
This pilot is an experiment in community led journalism. It allows residents to send in local news and information, which is then checked, verified, and reported by our editorial team. Not every submission will be published, but every submission will be reviewed.
What’s it for?
You can use Your News Live to let us know about:
✔ Local meetings, decisions, or public events
✔ Court cases or hearings taking place locally
✔ Road closures, traffic incidents, or accidents
✔ Community issues, campaigns, or concerns
✔ Local achievements, fundraising efforts, or initiatives
✔ Anything happening in your area that you think should be covered as news
If you are unsure whether something counts as news, you can still submit it. Our editors will assess it.
How It Works
-
Submit your news using the online form
You can send a short description of what is happening, when and where it is taking place, and why it matters. You can also include photos, videos, or audio if you have them. -
We review and verify submissions
Every submission is checked by our editorial team. We may follow up for more information or decide how best to report it. -
Stories are published and updated
Verified submissions may appear on Your News Live and may also be developed into full news stories on Carmarthenshire News Online.
Important Things to Know
We do not publish rumours, personal disputes, or unverified allegations
We remove personal or sensitive information before publishing if required
Submitting information does not guarantee publication, but it does help inform our reporting.
Why This Is a Pilot
Your News Live is currently in a pilot phase. This means we are testing how it works, how people use it, and how it can best support local journalism. Feedback from users will help shape how the platform develops in future. This feature may be disabled for maintenance as we fine-tune it for your benefit.
By taking part, you are helping to build a more open, community powered approach to local news.
