YOUR NEWS LIVE PILOT
Your message has been sent
Your News Live is a new pilot feature from Carmarthenshire News Online. It helps local people share what is happening in their communities. It also gives residents a way to shape local news coverage.
Across Carmarthenshire, many important stories never get reported. For example, these may include council meetings, court cases, road closures, accidents, or local events. They can also include campaigns, business openings, or everyday changes that affect residents. Because of this, Your News Live gives these stories a clear way to reach our newsroom.
This pilot supports community-led journalism. Instead of relying only on reporters, residents can send news directly to us. Our editorial team then checks and verifies the information. We decide how best to report it. While we cannot publish every submission, we review all of them.
What’s it for?

Your News Live helps us cover stories that matter locally.
You can use it to tell us about local meetings or public events. You can also submit information about court cases or hearings. Road closures, traffic problems, and accidents are also relevant. In addition, you can share community issues, campaigns, or concerns. We also welcome news about local achievements, fundraising efforts, or new projects.
If you are unsure whether something counts as news, you can still submit it. Our editors will review it and decide.
How it works
First, submit your news using the online form.
You should explain what is happening, when it is happening, and where it is taking place. You should also say why it matters. If you have photos, videos, or audio, you can include them.
Next, our editorial team reviews the submission.
We check the details and confirm the information. If needed, we may contact you for more details. We then decide how to report the story.
After that, we publish updates.
Verified submissions may appear on Your News Live. Some may later become full stories on Carmarthenshire News Online.
Important things to know
We do not publish rumours or unproven claims. We also avoid personal disputes. If needed, we remove personal or sensitive details before publication. Sending us information does not guarantee publication. However, it does help guide our reporting.
Why this is a pilot
Your News Live is still a pilot project. This means we are testing how it works and how people use it. We also want to see how it can best support local journalism. Feedback from users helps us improve the service.
At times, we may pause the feature for updates or maintenance. By taking part, you help support open, community-powered local news.
