Pencoed Murder Investigation Ongoing as Police Appeal for Witnesses to Come Forward

Major Crime Detectives investigating the murder of David Rogers in Pencoed on February 28, 2026, are appealing directly to a man seen jogging along Felindre Road just before 1am that same day.

They believe he ran past the location of the incident just before the incident happened and may be able to assist their investigation – he is asked to make contact, as is anybody else who may recognise him.

Officers are also looking to speak to anyone who went to the Chatterton Arms between 7:30pm and 11:30pm on February 27, or Pencoed Rugby Club between 11:40pm on February 27 and 00:30am on February 28.

David Rogers died in hospital on March 2, a week after the incident.

Liam Walters, 26, of Pencoed, was charged with his murder and has been remanded in custody.
