Fire Service in attendance at large industrial fire in Ammanford

THE Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue service have been in attendance at a large fire in Ammanford this evening, Tuesday (Apr 30).

The smoke could be seen from as far away as Carmarthen as the fire took hold earlier this evening. In a statement MAWWFRS said:

“We are in attendance at a large fire at a business property in Shands Road area of Ammanford.

The road is closed with diversions in place. Please avoid the area.

Local residents are being advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution.”
