Cardigan School Summer Fair Welcomes Local Officers and Police Dogs

Neighbourhood policing teams have joined local pupils and families for a community engagement event at Ysgol Gynradd Aberteifi.

PC Dyfed Jones and PCSO Sian Clarke attended the primary school’s annual Ffair Haf Ras Lliw (Summer Fair Colour Run) to meet with residents and discuss the role of the emergency services in the community.

The officers were accompanied by three police dogs, PD Max, PD Justin, and PD Kayla, giving young attendees a chance to interact safely with the handlers and animals.

While the two German Shepherds, Justin and Kayla, remained relaxed alongside the crowds, PD Max proved to be a major highlight for the children during the outdoor event.

Such visits form part of ongoing initiatives by Dyfed-Powys Police to build stronger, positive relationships with young people and families across the region from an early age.

School representatives welcomed the officers, noting that the presence of the neighbourhood team added a valuable educational element to the summer festivities.
