Man from Neath Port Talbot jailed after launching violent attack on ex-partner

A man from Neath Port Talbot has been jailed after launching a violent attack on his ex-partner in her own home.

28-year-old Cameron Gladwin, from Waunceirch, had been separated from his ex-partner for several months at the time of the incident in February this year.

Gladwin forced entry to his ex-partner’s address at around 7am, before launching a violent and sustained assault.

Gladwin changed his plea to the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm from not guilty to guilty in July.

He has been sentenced to 12 months in prison.

Detective Constable Amy Davies said:

“No woman should have to fear the repercussions of ending a relationship with their ex-partner.
“We hope this is the end of the victim having to fear what Gladwin will do next.”
