Failing to identify driver cost Carmarthen woman £1014

43-year-old Joanne May Bishop of Richmond Terrace, Carmarthen appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on September 21st.

The court heard that on 30/03/2023 at Camera Unit Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police Bishop failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.

Bishop was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00. Her driving record endorsed with 6 points.
