The following appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Jul 4).

18-year-old Miss Lucy Marie Poul of Bryn Uchaf, Bryn.

The court hears that on 25/11/2022 at Bynea Poul drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely the A484, Bynea Llanelli Carmarthenshire, when she was using a hand-held mobile telephone Contrary to regulation 110(1) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 41D of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Poul was found guilty and fined £250 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £100 and costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Poul was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 56 day(s).

63-year-old Mr Philip Stephen John of Trostre Road Llanelli.

The court heard that on 18/09/2022 at Carmarthenshire John drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A476 Felinfoel Road, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour. Contrary to section 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of gatsometer was 38 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

John pleaded Pleaded not guilty. He was found guilty and fined £180 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £72 and costs of £150 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

His driving record endorsed with 6 points.

29-year-ol William Gregory Bailey of Towy Terrace Ffairfach Llandeilo.

The court heard that on 07/12/2022 at A487 Nefoundland Terrace, Aberaeron Bailey drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A487 at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour, namely 35 MPH. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Further, on 17/01/2023 having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driverof a vehicle, namely who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure

Bailey was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00.

48-year-old Ranjit Singh Dulay of Conway Crescent Willenhall.

The court heard that on 08/12/2022 at Carmarthenshire Dulay drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely Heol Ddu Jct, Capel Sion Road, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour 38 MPH. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 38 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.

Dualy was fined £40.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £16.00 and costs of £90.00.

34-year-old Amanda Gwalchmai of Trafford House, Trawscoed.

The court heard that on 09/12/2022 at Ceredigion Gwalchmai drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A485, Llanilar Ceredigion, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour, namely 42 MPH. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 42 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Gwalchmai was found guilty and fined £151.00. She was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £60.00 and costs of £90.00

38-year-old Ryan Steven Hardwidge of Heol Treginning, Morfa.

The court heard that on 07/12/2022 at the A476, Gorslas, Hardwidge drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A476, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour, namely 36 MPH. Contrary to section 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

44-year-old Mr Nathan Hudson of Twr Uchaf, Capel Seion.

The court heard that on 08/12/2022 at Carmarthenshire Hudson drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely Heol Ddu Jct, Capel Seion Rd, Drefach at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour, namely 44 MPH. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals. The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.

Hudson was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00.

24-year-ol Mr Sean Wayne Joseph Kendall of Bettws Road, Bridgend.

The court heard that on 07/12/2022 at the A48 Natyci Carmarthen Kendall drove a mechanically propelled vehicle, on a dual carriageway road, namely the A48 at a speed exceeding 60 miles per hour, the speed specified in Schedule 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as being the maximum speed in relation to a vehicle of that class, namely 73 MPH. Contrary to sections 86(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 73 miles per hour.
Kendall was fined £153.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £61.00 and costs of £90.00.

54-year-old Mr Mark Lionel Millard of Jackdaws, Whitcott

The court heard that on 08/12/2022 at POWYS Millard drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely Heol Ashley, Mochdre at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour, namely 35 MPH. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 35 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Millard as fined £107.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £42.00 and costs of £90.00.

His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

49-year-old Mr Paul Miller of 10 Dulais Road, Pontarddulais.
The court heard that on 08/12/2022 at the A483, Carthmyl Powys Miller drove a motor vehicle, and failed to comply with the indication given by solid white line road markings outlined in diagram 1013.1 or diagram 1013.5 of Schedule 9 to the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016, lawfully placed on a road, namely the A483, Garthmyl Powys. Contrary to section 36(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, Schedule 9 to the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

At 23:18 on 08/12/2022 the defendant drove a motor vehicle, and failed to comply with the indication given by solid white line road markings as outlined in diagram 1013.1 or diagram 1013.5 of Schedule 9 to the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016, lawfully placed on a road, namely A483, GARTHMYL, POWYS UK, in that the vehicle overtook a marked Police vehicle, contravening a double white line.

Miller was fined £230.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £92.00 and costs of £90.00.

His driving record endorsed with 3 points. 36-year-old Mr Aled Morgan of Glandwr, St Clears.

The court heard that on 11/01/2023 at SAFETY CAMERA UNIT, PO BOX 95, TREFOREST, PONTYPRIDD UK CF37 9DH, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed Powys, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.

Morgan was Fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00.

19-year-old Ffion Esme Perry of Culfor Road, Loughor.

The court heard that on 08/12/2022 at Carmarthenshire Perry drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely Heol Ddu Jct Drefach at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour, namely 46 MPH. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 46 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Perry was fined £80.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32.00 and costs of £90.00.
