The following appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Friday July 7th.
47-year-old Miss Kelly Harries of Firth Road, Llanelli
The court heard that on23/09/2022 at Carmarthenshire Harries drove a motor vehicle, namely on a restricted road, namely Heol Capel Ifan, Pontyberem, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 36 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200
yard intervals.
Harries pleaded guilty and was fined £189 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £75 and costs of £160.

69-year-old Mr Geoffrey Ronald Bowers of 16 Chesterfield Place, Aylesbury.
The court heard that on 10/02/2023 at safety camera unit, PO Box 95, Treforest, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys, Bowers failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the
Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.
Bowers was fined £660 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00.
His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.
27-year-old Mr Lewis Aurwyn David Emanuel of Fonog, Blaenplwyf.
The court heard that on 09/12/2022 at Ceredigion Emanuel drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A487 Penparcau Road, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour, Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less
than 200 yard intervals.
