Election Results for Carmarthenshire and local area

With the election now over and the new Labour Government elected, we can take a look at some of the results for our local area.

Llanelli (Labour hold)

Nia Griffith elected as the Member of Parliament for the Llanelli constituency.

The turnout for the election was 57.13%.

The total number of registered voters was 71,538.

Carmarthen (Plaid win)

Ann Davies elected as the Member of Parliament for the Caerfyrddin constituency.

The turnout for the election was 61.88%.

The total number of registered voters was 74,005.

Ceredigion (Plaid hold)

Ben Lake elected as the Member of Parliament for the Ceredigion Preseli constituency.

The constituency turnout was 61.38%.

The total number of registered voters was 75,690.

Mid and South Pembrokeshire (Labour win)

Henry Tufnell elected as the Member of Parliament for the Mid and South Pembrokeshire constituency.

The turnout for Mid and South Pembrokeshire was 59%.
The total number of registered voters was 79,031.
Swansea West (Labour hold)
Torsten Bell elected as the Member of Parliament for the Swansea West constituency.
The turnout for Swansea West was 48%.
The total number of registered voters was  was 74,236.
Neath and Swansea East (Labour hold)
Carolyn Harris elected as the Member of Parliament for the Neath and Swansea East constituency.
The turnout for Swansea East was 53%.
The total number of registered voters was 76,291.
