Family Home Transformed into Christmas Wonderland in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital

A family home in Hendy has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland for the second year running by the O’Brien Family.

There is good reason for the hard work, which has seen thousands of lights and Christmas decorations add light and colour to the home located close to the Hendy motorway junction.

Richard and Lisa O’Brien have been served well by Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital as their young son Richard has been receiving treatment there for some time.

The O’Briens said that they were totally overwhelmed at the number of people who turned up last year to take a look at this spectacular display of Christmas. On Saturday (Nov 18) they opened their doors once more and switched on the lights along with a fireworks display. The family wish to thank local people and those who have travelled from outside the area for their support. Last year they raised over £7,000 for the charity.

The display will be open until January 2nd.

Please be considerate to surrounding properties when visiting. All proceeds go to the Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital.
