Flipping great day of races in Llanelli Town Centre

Organised by Ymlaen Llanelli the sixth annual pancake race took place in Llanelli today, Tuesday (Feb 21).

Stepney Street became a pancake race track with teams from Heno, Llanelli Town Council, Asda and Save Easy Credit Union taking part.

The Mayor of Llanelli attended the event, which was also filmed for TV.

The weather was perfect for the race and at the stroke of eleven the participants took off and began flipping their pancakes.

The pigeons were keeping a watchful eye on events as a number of competitors dropped their pancakes.

Spectators got into the spirit of the day cheering on the teams.

It was an exciting event with lots laughter and merriment resounding around the town centre.
