A man has been charged following an incident that took place in Tipi Valley, Llandeilo on Wednesday 14 August.

Jivan Dean, 23, of no fixed abode, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and throwing a corrosive substance over a person.

There was an increased police presence in parts of Carmarthenshire as officers carried out enquiries to locate him. This included checks at pubs in Llanelli town on Thursday night.

During the late afternoon on Friday 16, following several reports from the members of the public he was arrested in the Llanelli area.
