Caerphilly Residents: Have Your Say on Future of Outdoor Access

Residents across Caerphilly County Borough are being invited to help shape the future of outdoor access, as plans progress to re-establish the Caerphilly Local Access Forum.

With around 800km (500 miles) of public rights of way to explore, from scenic footpaths to multi-use routes, the network plays a key role in supporting recreation, wellbeing and everyday access to the outdoors.

The Local Access Forum will bring together a range of voices to help inform how these routes are maintained, improved and made more accessible for everyone. It will also support the review of the Council’s Rights of Way Improvement Plan, ensuring it reflects the needs of local communities.

We are particularly keen to hear from people from under-represented groups, including those who use mobility aids or have experience of disability or limited mobility, so we can ensure access works for everyone, in line with the Sport and Active Recreation Strategy 2019-2029.

Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, running, exploring nature or work within the countryside, there is an opportunity to share your views and help shape future access across the county borough.
