Four hospitalised following RTC at Mountain Ash

SOUTH WALES Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision which occurred on the A4059 between Aberdare and Mountain Ash, at approximately 00:05am on Sunday, 14th April, 2019.

The collision is understood to have involved a single vehicle – a blue Toyota Yarris – which left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

Two men, a 20 year-old and a 22 year-old, were taken to the University Hospital of Wales with what are described as life threatening injuries.

Two other men, aged 19 and 22, were taken to Prince Charles Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

All were occupants of the vehicle involved in the collision and are from the Mountain Ash area.

Anybody who may have witnessed the collision or the manner in which the vehicle was travelling in the moments prior to the incident is urged to contact South Wales Police via 101 quoting reference *132567.
