Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) marks Volunteers’ Week 2023

2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when MAWWFRS will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK. With this year’s theme of ‘Celebrate and Inspire’ we hope to encourage people to be the change that we want to see and get involved in volunteering in whatever way works for them.

The contribution of volunteers is often unseen and unrecognised by many, visible only through the incredible impact of their volunteering, so taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate their efforts and all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole has never been more important.

This Volunteers’ Week MAWWFRS will be celebrating their 63 volunteers, sharing what inspired some of them to become volunteers.

Safeguarding Lead and Firesetter Intervention Officer Jay Crouch said:

“Volunteers’ Week is a chance to celebrate and recognise the fantastic contribution our volunteers make. Volunteering with Mid and West Fire and Rescue Service is not just supporting us a Service but how we can help you as a volunteer meet your goals.”

Mae Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub Canolbarth a Gorllewin Cymru (GTACGC) yn dathlu Wythnos Wirfoddolwyr 2023.

Mae 2023 yn nodi 39ain flwyddyn Wythnos Wirfoddolwyr (1-7 Mehefin), pan fydd GTACGC yn ymuno â miloedd o elusennau a sefydliadau gwirfoddol gan gydnabod y cyfraniad y mae gwirfoddolwyr yn ei wneud ledled y DU. Gyda’r thema ‘Dathlu ac Ysbrydoli’ eleni rydym yn gobeithio annog pobl i fod y newid yr ydym am ei weld a chymryd rhan mewn gwirfoddoli ym mha bynnag ffordd sy’n gweithio iddyn nhw.

Mae cyfraniad gwirfoddolwyr yn aml yn anweledig a heb ei gydnabod gan lawer, yn weladwy yn unig drwy effaith anhygoel eu gwirfoddoli, felly cymerwch amser yn ystod Wythnos Wirfoddolwyr i ddathlu eu hymdrechion a’r cyfan y maent yn ei gyfrannu at ein cymunedau lleol, y sector gwirfoddol a chymdeithas fel ni fu’r cyfan erioed yn bwysicach.

Yr Wythnos Gwirfoddolwyr hon bydd GTACGC yn dathlu eu 63 o wirfoddolwyr, gan rannu’r hyn a ysbrydolodd rhai ohonynt i ddod yn wirfoddolwyr.

Dywedodd Jay Crouch, Arweinydd Diogelu a Swyddog Ymyrraeth Cyneuwyr Tanau:

“Mae Wythnos Wirfoddolwyr yn gyfle i ddathlu a chydnabod y cyfraniad gwych mae ein gwirfoddolwyr yn ei wneud. Mae gwirfoddoli gyda Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub Canolbarth a Gorllewin nid yn unig yn ein cefnogi fel Gwasanaeth ond mae’n ymwneud a sut rydym yn gallu eich helpu chi fel gwirfoddolwr i gyflawni eich nodau.”

Os hoffech chi wybod mwy am sut i wirfoddoli gyda Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub Canolbarth a Gorllewin Cymru, ewch i: Gwirfoddoli (tancgc.gov.uk)
