Police issue statement on West Close stabbing, Butetown

South Wales Police have issued the following statement on the West Close stabbing in Butetown

Detective Inspector Tim Jones said:

“South Wales Police was called at around 5pm yesterday (Friday 27 January) to reports of an assault on West Close, Butetown.
“Officers attended and found a 22-year-old man had been stabbed.
“The victim was taken to hospital where his condition is believed to be not life threatening.
“Enquiries are ongoing to ascertain the full circumstances of the incident.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact South Wales Police quoting reference 2300028609.”
