Police launch appeal for missing 77-year-old man

South Wales Police is appealing for information on the whereabouts of Leighton Tomes, 77, from Rhoose, who has been reported missing.

He spoke to family during the early hours of Sunday (November 20) at around 12.20am but hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Leighton has difficulty breathing and will appear very breathless.

He is described as 5ft 8ins tall, slim build, with short white hair and glasses.

Leighton left his home address in his silver 04-plate Kia Carens car, similar to the one pictured.
The vehicle’s index number is BM04 CUX.


Prior to going missing, Leighton has been known to stay in hotels in other parts of the South Wales area including Merthyr and Pencoed.
