West coast ‘techno thief’ has no Legg to stand on

Appearing at Llanelli Magistrate’s Court today (Apr 23) 38 year-old David Raymond Legg of 1 Great Western Terrace, Llanelli.

The court heard that on 19/04/2019 at Llanelli Legg entered Prince Philip Hospital as a trespasser where he stole a vending machine coin mechanism containing money. Other items Legg stole included a Sony projector, a Toshiba Laptop with charger and a bag, and various food items of value unknown Contrary to section 9(1)(b) of the Theft Act 1968.

Legg pleaded guilty to the offence, which was committed during the operational period of suspended sentences for six previous offences, which included theft, trespass and fraud at Weymouth, Bournemouth and Dorchester.

Legg was sentenced to twelve weeks imprisonment following offence number five, namely trespass at Kings Park school in Bournemouth, where he stole an Apple iPad and a Samsung laptop to the value of £750.

The overall sentence was 20 weeks and Legg was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115.
