Man Jailed for Harassment of ex-partner

A 34-year-old man has been jailed for breaching a restraining order to protect his former partner.

Lee Roberts of Higher Lane, Liverpool, admitted attending his ex-partner’s home in Mold on two occasions in November last year, despite a restraining order in place to prevent him doing so.

At Mold Crown Court on Thursday, 8 January, he was jailed for 14 months.

Roberts was handed a lifetime restraining order to protect the victim and her mother in July 2024, preventing him from contacting them, or attending any address he believed them to be at.

Despite this, he continued to make unwanted contact with them and a suspended sentence was activated.

Upon his release from prison, he immediately visited his former partner’s home again.

Sergeant Kerry Nash said: “Roberts showed blatant disregard for the restraining order by repeatedly making unwanted contact with his ex-partner

“Restraining orders exist to shield individuals from harm – violating them is a serious offence.

“This was a distressing ordeal for the victim, and I hope today’s outcome offers her some measure of reassurance.”
