“This is a significant ruling by the International Cort of Justice which must be heeded by not only the Israeli government but leaders around the world.
“A commitment by Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer to an immediate ceasefire is long overdue.
“Plaid Cymru has been consistent and unwavering in its calls for an end to the violence on all sides and for humanitarian organisations to be granted safe access to the Gaza strip. The Israeli government’s actions are disproportionate and continue to lead to the unjustifiable loss of innocent lives.
“I am proud that the Senedd supported Plaid Cymru’s motion calling for an immediate ceasefire, but it remains unfathomable that the UK government and others worldwide are still failing to take a principled stance in the name of peace.”
