One Year On, search continues for Mark Kinson

Today marks one year since missing man Mark Kinson was last seen.

Our thoughts are with Mark’s family and friends, and we appeal for anyone with information to please come forward.

Mark, 53, was seen on Friday January 31, 2025, at 9.45pm on Uphill Road, Llanrumney, Cardiff.

He was then seen at around 10pm in the Captains Walk walking in the general direction of Braunton Crescent.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out to locate Mark but there have been no confirmed sightings since that day.

Detective Inspector Daniel Todd, from South Wales Police, said: “Despite a thorough investigation, unfortunately Mark’s disappearance remains unexplained. We understand how distressing this is for Mark’s loved ones.

“We share the family’s hope that one day they will have answers to what has happened to Mark. We appeal for anyone with information to come forward. We will always act upon any new significant information.”

As part of the on-going investigation, officers have examined phone data and CCTV footage, searched open land, wooded areas, and riverbanks, conducted financial checks, and made numerous police appeals.

Mark is described as around 5ft 7ins tall and was wearing a dark grey/blue tracksuit on the day he went missing.
