Christopher Hallett, 32 from Porth was sentenced to two years in prison following his conviction.
The sentencing took place at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday September 1 where Hallett pleaded guilty to one count of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class b – cannabis, one count of possession with intent to supply cannabis and one count of acquire/ use/ possess criminal property.
This followed intelligence that suggested that Hallett was involved in the wholesale purchase and supply of cannabis across the Rhondda. Following this officers, went to Hallett’s address in Porth, where he was arrested. During the search officers found multiple large bags of cannabis with a retail value of between £67,000 and £115,000. They also found £22,000 in cash at the property.
Hallett’s phone was also downloaded which had messages on it showing him ordering large amounts of cannabis. He also had numerous cannabis laced vapes which were then found in local schools.
