The following appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Monday (Aug 22).

19-year-old Ethan James Rees of Vista Lounge Llanelli

The court heard that Rees failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a
community order made by Llanelli Magistrates Court on 14/06/2022 and that Rees tampered with an AAMR tag on the 29/06/2022 to the 30/06/2022, on the
02/07/2022 to the 03/07/2022, and the on the 03/07/2022 to the 04/07/2022

Rees also failed to attend an Unpaid Work appointment on the 04/07/2022. In accordance with Part 2 of Schedule 10 to the Sentencing Act 2020.

Rees must comply with the following requirements by the original end date of the order 13/06/2023 and carry out unpaid work for 20 hours within the next twelve months.

Rees was fined £60.00.

29-year-old Declan Thomas Maguire of Peregrine Close, Haverfordwest

An Application to amend the requirements of a community order made by Llanelli
Magistrates Court on 23/07/2020 by revoking the community order on the
ground that it is unworkable. The community order was replaced with a fine of £120.
In accordance with part 4 of Schedule 8 to the Criminal Justice Act 2003.

22-year-old Dominic Lawrence Mills of Albion Arms Llanybydder

An Application to amend the requirements of a suspended sentence order made by
Aberystwyth Magistrates Court on 28/10/2020 on the ground that an application
is made to revoke the Unpaid Work Requirement of the Suspended Sentence
due to medical issues..

The application was granted. The unpaid work requirement was removed and replaced by a £600 fine.

26-year-old Lewis Aurwyn David Emanuel c/o Frongog Blaenplwyf

An application for a domestic violence protection order. A domestic violence protection notice was served by a Constable on 19/08/2022. In accordance with section 27 Crime and Security Act 2010.

The application was granted. Lewis was ordered to pay costs of £226.00 to Dyfed Powys Police.

31-year-old Scott Kelly of Langland Road Llanelli

The court heard that Kelly failed without reasonable excuse to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Llanelli Magistrates Court on 30/09/2021 by
failing to be present at a home visit as directed on the 24/06/2022 and failed to attend a Probation Office visit on the 01/07/2022. In accordance with Part 2 of Schedule 16 to the Sentencing Act 2020.

Kelly was committed to prison for a term of 16 weeks suspended for 18 months. Kelly must now comply with requirements within a supervision period of 18 months.

Kelly was ordered to pay costs of £60.00.

22-year-old Mr Daniel Derek Sieuw of Bryngwyn, Gwynfe Road

The court heard that Sieuw failed without reasonable excuse to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Llanelli Magistrate Court on 23/06/2022 by
failing to attend unpaid work induction appointments on 06/07/22 and 13/07/22. In accordance with Part 2 of Schedule 16 to the Sentencing Act 2020.

Sieuw was ordered to pay costs of £60.00 and was given a suspended sentence of imprisonment of 18 weeks suspended for 18 months.

30-year-old Harry George Barton of Mount Pleasant, Mill Road, Kent

The court heard that on 25/02/2022 at Pembrokeshire Barton drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road, namely the B4332 Newchapel, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 41 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Barton was fined £250.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and ordered to pay costs of £90.00. His Driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

63-year-old Maryjane Carey of Coed Wynog, Velindre

The court heard that on 28/02/2022 at Pembrokeshire Carey drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road, namely the A487 Newport Village,Pembrokeshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour
Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 37 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Carey was fined £73.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. Her Driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

59-year-old June Colley of 22 Maespiode, Llandybie

The court heard that on 28/02/2022 at Carmarthenshire Colley drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road, namely the A483 Talardd Villas nr Ffairfach , at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 40 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Colley was fined £98.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

44-year-old Ieauan Vernon Davies of Russell Terrace, Carmarthen

The court heard that on 04/05/2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, having been required by
or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the
Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Davies was fined £660.00. and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

52-year-old Mr Thomas Eldridge of Chilton Road, Richmond

The court heard that on 28/02/2022 at Carmarthenshire Eldridge drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road, namely the A474 Cwmamman Road, Glanamman, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

42-year-old Mr Stuart Malcolm Grace of Grange Avenue, Balby, Doncaster

The court heard that on 28/02/2022 at Powys drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road, namely A483 Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

28-year-old Mr Gareth Steven Lewis of Freemans View, Merlins Bridge

The court heard that on 27/02/2022 at Carmarthenshire Lewis drove a motor vehicle on a road, namely the Overpass A40 near junction to Llanllwch Carmarthen, subject of a local traffic order, namely The A40 Trunk Road (Travellers Rest, Carmarthenshire) (50mph & 30mph Speed Limits) Order 2019, at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour Contrary to the above local traffic order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 62 miles per hour.

Lewis was fined £142.00and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

66-year-old Mr Michael John Neale of Newport, Gwent

The court heard that on 27/02/2022 at Carmarthenshire Neale drove a motor vehicle on a road, namely the Overpass A40 near junction to Llanllwch, Carmarthen, subject of a local traffic order, namely The A40 Trunk Road (Travellers Rest, Carmarthenshire)(50mph & 30mph Speed Limits) Order 2019, at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour Contrary to the above local traffic order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 64 miles per hour.

Neale was fined £180.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. His Driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

 

24-year-old Tyler Jake Pritchard of Cae Garw, Oakdale, Blackwood

the court heard that on 09/02/2022 at Carmarthenshire Pritchard drove a motor vehicle on a dual carriageway road, namely the Overpass A48 near Pensarn, at a speed exceeding 70 miles per hour
Contrary to article 2(c) of the 70 Miles Per Hour, 60 Miles Per Hour and 50 Miles

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 82 mph.

Pritchard was fined £200.00and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

58-year-old Mrs Cindy Ann Williams of High Street Llanelli

The court heard that on 15/04/2022 at Safety Camera Unit, Pontypridd, having been required by or
on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Williams was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £66.00 to fund victim services and costs of £90.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

31-year-old Mr Daniel Akpoveta of Holmewood Road, South Norwood

The court heard that on 16/03/2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, having been required by or
on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence
Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Akpoveta was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. Akpoveta was Disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 month(s).

28-year-old Mr Justin James Thomas of Cawdor Place, Llanelli

The court heard that on 22/02/2022 at Carmarthenshire Thomas used a motor vehicle on a road, or other public place, namely A4138 Dafen Roundabout, Llanelli, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Thomas was fined £120.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. Thomas was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 8 month(s).
