“My thoughts are with all those affected by the severe flooding across Caerfyrddin. The scale of the devastation has been significant, with major incidents causing serious damage to homes, businesses, vital infrastructure, and in some cases, placing lives in grave danger.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the emergency services and all the volunteers who have worked day and night to help those most affected. At such difficult times, we are reminded of the remarkable strength and solidarity that lies within our communities as well as the courage and resilience of the people of Caerfyrddin.
“I am glad to see that Carmarthenshire County Council are offering practical and financial support to those who have been affected so I would encourage those whose homes or businesses have been damaged to get in touch with the Council to access this much needed help and support.
“But as recovery efforts continue, I urge everyone to remain vigilant, to offer support wherever possible, and to take care of themselves and those around them.”
