Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a serious road traffic collision on the A40 Llandeilo to Nantgaredig road at around 4.25pm yesterday afternoon (Friday, July 3rd).
The collision involved a Scania bus and a Ford Transit van.
Sadly, the male driver of the van died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
There was one 14-year-old passenger in the bus along with the driver, and both were taken to Glangwili hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
Anyone with information that could help officers with their investigation or anyone who was travelling along the road at the relevant time with dashcam footage is asked to get in touch:
