Family of cyclist who died following collision in Bridgend pay tribute

THE family of Peter Pendlebury, 76, who died following a road traffic collision in Bridgend on November 15 has paid the following tribute:

“Peter, although born in Blackpool, settled and lived in Bridgend for the last forty years.

“He was a loving husband of 53 years, a proud father to three children and a doting grandad to four wonderful grandchildren.

“Peter was an avid amateur photographer, loved his motorbike and was a keen cyclist. He was a member of the Phoenix cycle club with which he raised money for various charities over the last thirty years.

“Peter was a well-respected member of the community and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

“Finally, we would like to thank the nurses at the University Hospital of Wales for their kindness and offer our thanks to all the emergency services and any members of the public that attended the scene.”

South Wales Police is continuing to investigate the road traffic collision which happened on Simonston Road, Bridgend at around 11.55am on Wednesday 15th November.

 

The collision involved a silver Honda Jazz and a cyclist.

 

We want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who was in the area at the time and has any dash cam footage.
