Armed police descended on a property in Llandovery this morning following urgent reports of firearms in the area.
The dramatic incident unfolded at approximately 9:30 AM, causing immediate disruption as officers flooded the scene. Specialist armed units quickly established a perimeter, closing off the road close to King Street to ensure public safety while operations were underway.
During the swoop, police detained a young male at the scene. A young female was also stopped and questioned by officers outside the property.
Local traffic experienced temporary delays while the road closure remained in place, though the area has since been reopened.
